Nature's Tapestry: Enhancing Biodiversity in Your Lawn

  • Homestead Gardens 743 West Central Avenue Davidsonville, MD, 21035 United States (map)

Summer Rayne Oakes, author of How to Make a Plant Love You and producer of the popular YouTube channels, Plant One On Me and Flock, will be kicking off the spring seasonal talks at Homestead Gardens with a talk called Natureโ€™s Tapestry: Enhancing Biodiversity in Your Lawn. Summer Rayne will share the various strategies they are employing on their homestead in the Finger Lakes to bring more biodiversity and habitat potential to their lawn areas. She'll outline a spectrum of strategies that will satisfy a range of needsโ€”from those who may not be ready or convinced they need to "rip" out their lawn entirelyโ€”to those who desire to turn their lawns into meadows.
